"Pelancaran Hari Pelanggan" Jabatan- Jabatan Kementerian Hal Ehwal Dalam
Negeri bagi Daerah Belait, pada Hari Isnin, 03 Mac c2008 di Kompleks Seri Selera Seria.

The Belait District Assistant Officer,

Awang Shahminan bin Haji Tengah, speaking at the opening ceremony.

There are five departments in the district under the Ministry of home Affairs.

The Belait District Office.

Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board.

Immigration Department.

Labour department.

Fire and Rescue Department.

Tetamu Kehormat Pehin, Para Pegawai dan para jemputan di bawa melawat dan di berikan taklimat menganai fungsi tiap-tiap Jabatan di Daerah Belait.
"Customers Day Activities"

The "Customer Day" was open to all members of the public and providing opportunities to the members of the public in giving theirs views and suggestions, which may help to improve its services for the resident of the K.B. district.

There were questions and answers programmes. And were open to all members of the public at helping them to get answers instantly.

Arab-families were invited to attend the opening ceremony . PuanHjh.Sharifah Aishah Al-Hijazi pakai tudong biru bersama Mdm.Tiff.

Members of the public were given an opportunity to ask some questions relevant to the departments concerned.

Some of Senior Officers attending the briefing and chaired the session.

"The objective of having these programmmes is to provide better understanding and knowledge to the general public on the rolesand responsibilities of the departments under the Ministry of Home Affairs in the KB. district."

Afternoon briefing were from the Kuala Belait Miniciple Board.

They spoke on the role and functions of the the department, including checking and issuing business licences " Lesen Rampaian" on business premises.

Session ended at 4.30 pm.

I received an email from an Arab-friends in Oman sending me this news,

about a Brunei Car in Oman...driven by the Bruneian's Advanture's Norhayati and Harun undertake the Trans Africa Journey.....from South Africa to Austria to Brunei Darussalam...

Our thoughts were rotating. Back was no option as we had no visa and Brunei was in the east anyhow.

Besides we had press conference on Tuesday and TV on Sunday. "Sir," Harun bowed down like an English butler before his lordship master and made himworried: "Sir, please, on Tuesday is press conference" Thursday it will be in the Oman papers, that we could not enter. On Sunday
Norhayati is live TV in Brunei, you can see it here if you have satellite dish. Half the world will know you lower the barrier in front of us"

These were the big guns we brought in position and he became obviously concerned and went to his boss in the office. We discussed our options: Back to Yemen? No way! We had to go on. If needed we sleep here call the embassy next morning ask them to organize
us a trailer to transit JAMBO on it through Oman. Oh-man!
Nowhere dear reader did we hear about this restriction. Not in travel books, nor internet, nor in the Oman embassy in Brunei.
When they came, the officer said:" You can go to Salalah" but tomorrow morning see the police chief. He will inspect the car and
maybe give you the permission. We sign a paper agreeing and confirming this intention and thanked them for their trust in us.
They were at all times gentlemen. We know it was a risk for them too. The chief of the border station gave his mobile number:" If there
is problem call"
Our way about 190 km through the mountains towards Salalah was long, the night dark and cold. Four hours we drove carefully until
finally we saw the orange streetlights of Salalah, reflecting in the dark sky. A hotel in the outskirt awaited us, the rack rate was
35.- Rial a night. We got it for 16.- including a breakfast.

Alhamdulilah, yesterday 20.2.2008 the flash flood fund aid for Tembrong Victims received more donations from the private and public sectors, as well as associations and individuals, making the total to

$520,716.18
(the donations collected have exceeded the targeted amount)

In attandance to officiate the event was Minister of Home Affairs,

YB. Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Adanan BPSK Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Mohd. Yusof.

and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, other senior officals at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Chinese New Year Celebrations today,

at a leading Halal Chinese Restaurant in the capital....today.

MayBank hosted this exclusive Chinese New Year dinner,

for its valued customers and staff members.

Present as the Guest of Honour was the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei,

Dato Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari.

Invited guests were treated to a Chinese New Year special tradition,

when the PDS lion dance troup performed

remarkable shows during the opening ceremony.

Spearheading the event was Mr.Geofery Lim,

Country Head and General Manager of MayBank Brunei.

Today afternoon we were invited to a Chinese New Year open house at JAC.

Jalan Aman Camp, Jalan Muara.

We were greeted by the Chief Commander (SAF) and Wife

with other Officers from Singapore Arm Forces. (SAF)

We were served with delicious kinds of foods

in the atmosphere of the Singapore tastes and stlyes.

Singaporean were food lovers and they had all different kinds of foods.

Workshop focuses on Development of marketing Services for Brunei SME's,

were attended by 36 SMEs and 14 others from related government agencies.

(Also included 2 participants from Serikandi's Group.)

were invited in the 2days workshop recently,

by MIPR.

As a follow-up to a survey conducted by a marketing consultant appointed by the Commonwealth Secretariat, United Kingdom, last year, a two-days workshop on the ' SMEs DEVELOPMENTS" were held on the 5th-6th. February 2008 recently.

The workshop were officially opened by Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Industry and Prime Resources, Dato Paduka Hj. Mohd Hamid bin Hj.Mohd. Jaafar.

we took a walk at pantai Kuala Belait for some recreation activities this evening,
with BinAbid and BinAziz....my arab-families ...
this is part of my evening activities after office hour........
either jogging, swimming or gym workout.
I met this duo at my home as I came back from my office today......
and I decided to take them along to the beach.........

the day that has big history in Islam.

10. Muharram also known as As-Syura day.........

Nabi Muhammad S.A.W.... always doing fasting on this date.

It is not compulsory but is is strictly optional to fast on this date........

SELAMAT MENYAMBUT HARI AS-SYURA...

(kapada semua kaum muslimin dan muslimat)

Fadhilat 10 Muharram (19jan 2008)

14 Perkara Yang Sunat Dilakukan Pada Hari Asyura
(10 Muharram, bersamaan sabtu, 19 JAN 2008)

1. Melapangkan masa / belanja anak , suami & isteri2
fadhilat - Allah akan melapangkan hidupnya pada tahun ini.

2. Memuliakan fakir miskin
fadhilat - Allah akan melapangkannya dalam kubur nanti.

3. Menahan marah
fadhilat - Di akhirat nanti Allah akan memasukkannya ke dalam golongan yang ridha.

4. Menunjukkan orang sesat
fadhilat - Allah akan memenuhkan cahaya iman dalam hatinya.

5. Menyapu / mengusap kepala anak yatim
fadhilat - Allah akan mengurniakan sepohon pokok di syurga bagi tiap-tiap rambut yang di sapunya.

6. Bersedekah
fadhilat - Allah akan menjauhkannya daripada neraka sekadar jauh seekor gagak terbang tak berhenti-henti dari
kecil sehingga ia mati. Diberi pahala seperti bersedekah kepada semua fakir miskin di dunia ini.

7. Memelihara kehormatan diri
fadhilat - Allah akan mengurniakan hidupnya sentiasa diterangi cahaya keimanan.

8. Mandi Sunat
fadhilat - Tidak sakit (sakit berat)pada tahun itu
lafaz niat : 'Sahaja aku mandi sunat hari Asyura kerana Allah Taala'

9. Bercelak
fadhilat - tidak akan sakit mata pada tahun itu.

10. Membaca Qulhuwallah hingga akhir seribu kali
fadhilat - Allah akan memandanginya dengan pandangan rahmah diakhirat nanti.

11. Sembahyang sunat empat rakaat
fadhilat - Allah akan mengampunkan dosanya walau telah berlarutan selama 50 tahun melakukannya.
lafaz niat : 'Sahaja aku sembahyang sunat hari Asyura empat rakaat kerana Allah Taala'
Pada rakaat pertama dan kedua selepas fatihah di baca Qulhuwallah sebelas kali.

12. Membaca
'hasbiyallahhu wani'mal wakil wa ni'mal maula wa ni'mannasiiru'
fadhilat - Tidak mati pada tahun ini .

13. Menjamu orang berbuka puasa
fadhilat - Diberi pahala seperti memberi sekalian orang Islam berbuka puasa.

14. Puasa
Niat - 'Sahaja aku berpuasa esok hari sunat hari Asyura kerana Allah
Taala'
fadhilat - Diberi pahala seribu kali Haji, seribu kali umrah dan seribu kali syahid dan diharamkannya daripada neraka.

Serikandi's staff in BSB Branch, made a New Year 2008 gathering recently...at....Pantai Serasa,Muara...........

Some 50 over staff turned up at the Muara Beach with different kinds of New Year Spirits, New Smiles, Styles...and hopes for the NEW YEAR 2008.

They had lots of games, lucky draws.....and makan besar at Pantai Serasa during this special New year Holidays.....1st.January 2008.

We would like to thank to the members of the organising team especially.... Chief Santosh, Chief Jainuddin, Chief Hameed and Mdm. Mardiah for the Job...Welldone!!!! Well Organised gathering.....for theirs staff in BSB Branch....

Alhamdulilah,

Majlis Korban and Aqiqah were held yesterday 22th.12.2207, at Ya-Nur Trading in Lumut.

Present as the Guest of Honour was YB.Hj Mohd Shafiee Ahmad as the Ketua Kampong of Lumut 1.

A cow and a goat were slaughter yesterday for this year Korban ceremony.....also present the CEO of Serikandi Group....Shaikh Khalid Sh.Ahmad......

Ya-NurTrading held this event annually with the aimed to contribute and also to inspire other business organisations in

Lumut areas to promote theirs business community programmes especially in religious activities..

"The ceremony was held as part of the obligatory duty of a Muslim to assist the less fortunate and underprivileged, in particular, residents of the Mukim."

The event also organised by arab-families.....brothers and sisters......for Korban..

This event aimed to inspire others and to encourage cooperation among the business community programmes....... in Lumut areas especially in religious activities.

This is the third year Ya-Nur Trading held the Korban ceremony in this retail store....

and this is the annual religious ceremony.........by Serikandi Group.

The event commences with a recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and followed an advice speech to the Mukim Villagers by the Guest of Honour.

Ya-Nur Trading retail store begin operating many years ago and it is part of Serikandi Group.
